This verbena is wiry and tough, and makes a good addition to a cottage or butterfly garden. Small purple flowers on 4-foot tall stalks entice pollinators, and it's tall stems make for a nice cut-flower. Relatively drought-tolerant once established, purpletop vervain is also tolerant of poor soils, and is somewhat deer-resistant. It can be grown in full-sun as an annual north of zone 7, and as a perennial south of 7.
-Also called clustertop vervain, Argentinian vervain, or tall verbena
Spread: 4' tall, 3' wide, clumping
Cold hardiness: zones 7-11
Light requirements: full sun to medium sun
Water requirements: medium
-3.25" pot

This is my favorite form of verbena, which I first encountered when I lived in London. The plantlet was very carefully packed and is already a good size. It's happily sitting in my kitchen window right now, growing ever larger, until I can get it planted in the garden. This is a quality Etsy seller.
Very happy with the packaging and quality of the plants. Thank you!
It's blooming beautifully, I love it
I have quite a few of plants from them and they're always healthy, and big! And ship quickly!
Arrived Healthy, well packaged and I planted them and they are already blooming!
