About us

Upper Place Gardens was created several years ago as the name of a nursery located in Prosperity, South Carolina. The name "Upper Place" was how one of the past landowners referred to this area where she grew up. Although not particularly high in elevation, rolling wooded hills and a very diverse habitat have made this location a great place to start a plant nursery. I have sold plants on eBay and Etsy for over 5 years, and have been propagating plants for over 15 years. This is a certified SC nursery, and we are inspected for damaging pathogens/insects every year, so you can be confident in the plants we are selling.
