Northern sea oats are a hardy native perennial grass with attractive nodding seed heads that swing gracefully in the breeze. Performing well in moist soil and full shade to partial sun, this rugged plant can be used for erosion control as well as for ornamental value. The seeds are a valuable resource for wildlife, and the plant is disease resistant.
