Polemonium 'Purple Rain' - Jacob's Ladder

Polemonium, or Jacob's Ladder, is a hardy mounding perennial grown for it's attractive ferny foliage and purple flowers that bloom on tall stalks in spring. Grown best in partial sun, it prefers constantly moist soil, and does not like hot dry locations. Although, if it's grown in a location with enough sun, the leaves take on a dark tinge, which is nice.
