Dianthus plumarius, commonly called pinks, is a spreading evergreen plant works well in a sunny perennial flower bed. It's drought-resistant once established, and is deer-resistant as well. It can fill in empty spaces, creep around rock borders, and bloom in waves over the spring and summer.
