Astilbe Pink 'Sprite' - False Spirea - False Goats Beard

Astilbe 'Sprite' has delicate sprays of light pink flowers top the plant during late spring/early summer. It is a compact form of astilbe, reaching around a foot tall and wide, although spreading clumps can make a larger looking plant. They make a great addition to a shade garden, and grow happily alongside hostas or coral bells. Using mulch will greatly benefit it, as the plant prefers to stay consistently moist, but not waterlogged. It also makes a great cut flower. If you order in the spring or summer, the plant will have leaves. If you order in cooler months, the plant will be dormant and have no leaves.
