Papyrus - Cyperus papyrus

Want to make some paper like an ancient Egyptian? Well then, you have to get some papyrus! It also works well as a statement plant in a bog, water garden, or pot. Highly resistant to pests and disease, papyrus also requires little fertilizer, so it's pretty much a care-free plant for those in warm climates. It is not cold-hardy below zone 9, but can be potted up and placed indoors during winter.
