Mimosa - Albizia julibrissin

The mimosa tree is a fast-growing small tree with gorgeous delicate pink flowers and fern-like foliage. Suited best as a specimen tree to give a tropical vibe to a backyard, mimosa can quickly provide nice shade for your patio. Interestingly, the leaves will close when touched, as well as at night. Plus, it is drought-tolerant once established, and can handle heat quite well.
