Mexican sage makes an attractive silvery bush that blooms velvety purple and white flowers that are irresistible to pollinators and hummingbirds. A sun-loving perennial, this plant begins to flower in late summer and continues right up until the first frost kills back the foliage. It is deer and rabbit-resistant, and has the additional good quality of being drought-resistant, but of course, it flowers best with regular watering. Â
