Mexican Petunia Purple - Ruellia simplex

Mexican petunia blooms freely over a long season, from spring through fall. On 3-foot tall stalks, it produces 2-inch wide petunia-like flowers that are attractive to pollinators and people. From wet soil to dry, and full sun to partial sun, it can handle a wide variety of growing conditions, but can spread aggressively in warm climates, so plant accordingly. It is also grown as an annual in colder climates.
