Mexican Heather - Cuphea hyssopifolia

Mexican Heather is a tough little free-blooming evergreen bush that can withstand the heat and dry weather of summer. On compact branches, dense foliage tapers to present small purple/pink flowers frequented by bees and hummingbirds. Cold hardy to zone 8, Mexican Heather can be a perennial and treated as an annual elsewhere.
