Japanese Sacred Lily 'Galle' - Rohdea japonica

Prized among collectors, Japanese Sacred Lily is a beautiful specimen plant, in a pot or in the garden. Stiff evergreen leaves are the big show, although the flowers and berries are at least interesting. The fruits are bright orange to red, and persist on the plant for a long time. The flowers are inconspicuous, and may be missed if you aren't looking for them. This cultivar, 'Galle' has thinner and stiffer leaves than some of the other varieties, and really looks nice in full to partial shade. It is also resistant to deer, drought, and black walnuts.
