This oakleaf hydrangea is very popular for its compact habit, colorful blooms, and toughness. Much like larger oakleaf hydrangeas, this variety produces large creamy white panicles from late spring to late summer, but the flowers on this plant fade to a lovely dark reddish color. Oakleaf hydrangeas are native and are very durable plants when protected from the hottest and driest North American weather.
