False Freesia, red - Freesia laxa

Blooming 1-inch wide flowers on slender stalks, Freesia laxa will add a splash of color to the spring garden without taking up a lot of space. From the iris family, the grass-like leaves never reach over around 12-inches in length. The origin of the plant is South Africa, so it can handle heat and dry weather, and dislikes soggy winter soil.
