Dancing Bones Cactus - Hatiora salicornioides

A wiry epiphyte with bottle-shaped segments, Hatiora salicornioides is a perfect plant to hang over the side of a planter. Dangling long branches and spiky shorter branches have a interesting look, and the late-winter blooms are golden yellow, which is nice. As a succulent, it is easy on the water, and I have literally forgotten about my original plant for months, only to realize that it was just fine without me. Allow the soil to dry before watering, and don't expose the plant to freezing temps, or those dancing bones will just be dead bones.
