Curry plant (Helichrysum italicum) is a drought and deer tolerant shrub with a distinctively strong smell. It is not the same plant from which culinary curry is derived, but smells similar, so people call it that commonly. The oil of this plant is used medicinally, and is being further investigated to determine it's full potential of uses.
