Confederate Jasmine, Star Jasmine - Trachelospermum jasminoides

Confederate jasmine or star jasmine, as it is also known, is a moderately growing vine capable of covering an arbor, trellis, fence or mailbox. Small fragrant star-shaped ivory flowers adorn the plant during late spring to early summer. Mainly used in warmer locations or near the coast, this vine is prone to damage in severe cold. On the plus side, it is rarely damaged by deer, and prefers partial sun, but can get by in full shade. It also makes a satisfactory houseplant, and can be moved around in a pot to avoid winter weather.
