Chrysanthemum Coral Reef

This heirloom spider chrysanthemum has bold orange and yellow petals on large blooms that look like a still image of an explosion. This wild display will grow up to 3 feet tall, but make sure to give the plant support, as the blooms are typically too heavy for the stems to hold upright. This chrysanthemum is typical of those used by florists for displays and competitions. It requires specific care, but don't be fooled into thinking that the large blooms for vase cutting are unachievable by the average gardener. I was surprised at how easy they were to grow.
