Catananche 'Amor Blue' - Catananche caerulea

Resistant to drought, this tough little plant can make a great summertime addition to a cottage garden or flower bed. Despite it's name, catananche 'Amor Blue' is really more of a purplish blue, but I don't consider this a complaint. The shape and hue of the flower is very much like a cornflower, and the height is similar as well, topping out at 24" tall. The flower works well in a vase and as a dried specimen. The plant is a short-lived perennial in zones 4-7 (meaning it can survive for several years), but it can be grown as an annual in colder locations.
