Carex 'Prairie Fire' - Carex testacea

This bright accent grass is a bold contrast to the typical muted shades of greens, blues, and grays of other mounding grasses. In fall it turns a shade of orange that continues until the following spring. Hardy to pests, diseases, coastal conditions, dry weather and sun, this plant makes a nice addition to a garden year-round.
