Bougainvillea 'Raspberry Ice'

'Raspberry Ice' is a variegated leaf form of bougainvillea. The white and green leaves contrast beautifully with the bright pink flowers. It is well-adapted to survive dry environments once established, and prefers full sun, although it will tolerate partial sun. Blooming period varies with the climate you're in, but it is capable of blooming most any time of year that it's warm enough. Bougainvillea is perennial for only zones 9+, so if you plant this in a pot somewhere colder than zone 9, move it indoors during winter. Be mindful when you move it though, because it does have thorns.
