Blue Hibiscus plant - Alyogyne hueglii

With a gorgeous blue/purple flower and low-maintenance habit, Alyogyne hueglii makes a showy display without making you work too hard for it. This Australian native boasts 4-inch-wide blooms, much like a hibiscus does, although it is not a true hibiscus. The leaves are attractive: fuzzy and serrated. The growth rate can be pretty rapid, so it does benefit from a trim now and then. It loves sun and heat, but can't take cold temperatures, so don't let it freeze.  Also, it is well suited for a water-wise garden and can be grown in pots if you desire.
