Blue Baptisia - Baptisia Australis
Blue Baptisia - Baptisia Australis
Baptisia australis, or blue false indigo, is a tough native perennial for a dry sunny spot in the landscape. Once established, a 3-foot wide clump of branches will give way to spikes of blue/purple pea-like flowers. Resistant to deer and drought, this plant is also tolerant of disease, so if you like a plant to mostly take care of itself, this one's for you. The branches will die down to the ground each winter, so that's a good time to tidy them up, and trim them back to ground-level. -Also called Blue False Indigo, False Indigo, Wild Indigo

If ordering in winter, these plants will be trimmed back to soil level. Cannot ship to AZ (unless bare-root).
