Balloon Flower Blue - Semi-double blooms - Platycodon

Balloon flowers (Platycodon grandiflorus) are lovely plants for a perennial bed or border. Every spring, they send out 2 to 3-foot tall stalks with balloon-shaped flowers that open up to reveal a deep blue/purple blossom. This variety has single, semi-double, or double blooms. If ordering late fall-winter, the plant will not have leaves. It is dormant. This is normal, and it will sprout leaves from the base of the plant in the spring.
